Cyber-illiterate though I may be (can't WINDOW Windows7), I'll try to make a tag post. Looks like it's gonna take lots of edits, at my current level of incompetence!

Epic day; gourmet breakfast at the prestigious Warrenton Moose Lodge; then Ali said he wanted to visit again the National Marine Corps Museum (you've seen its spire off I95 at Triangle, approximating the angle of the Iwo Jima image flagstaff), where inmate turtleman posed the alligator by his namesake, the "alligator" amphibious tractor, invading a south Pacific Island:

"Someone better pick up those bandoliers," said Ali, "Bet they're gonna come in handy!":

Moving right along, we went to another repository of militariana:

"Make my day!", said Ali:

Inmate turtleman won a lottery for an opportunity to ride in a M113 APC (armored personnel carrier), the combat limousine for many wars and for many countries' armed forces:

"With all these armored vehicles, I'll stand behind this good ol' artillery piece," said Ali:

Where is Ali?

Road clue: Would be named, "Yemen Road," if named today. The road shares its name with that of a former British crown colony; the municipality was the capital of the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen until that country's unification with the Yemen Arab Republic. The USS Cole was attacked in its harbor; a Gulf is also so-named. Fighting, in 1967, in the Crater district of the then-colony, became known as the "Last Battle of the British Empire."

Text clue: Bob Hope entertained Americans in Wartime.

Remove the letter, "h," from the first word in his theme song title, and you'll get an idea of the sentiment where Ali now rests.

Oh, the tracked vehicles Ali played on will probably have been evacuated when you visit the site; the towed artillery field piece, however, should still be in place, near the flagpole.

-----------------

UPDATE: SteelB12 solved the location immediately; however, his current location (England) frustrates his grabbing ability!

Tag site CAVEAT:

"Tank farm" it is, but NOT the petroleum tank farm at Newington.

And, this ain't the 70-acre developmental site at Dale City.

Red herring countermeasures now applied; so--unleash your search engines and find Ali!

That's a pretty cool place. Wandered around looking over the machinery for a while.

New Drop....

Gator is hidden among the rocks directly behind the left sign post....

Clue added.

This lane has a two word name.

First word....... drag or sledge town

Second word...... this general defeated Lee

That should make it easy enough.

Don't want to hold up the game so I added a clue to the original post.

Draton kind of thru me. I was totally lost with the first clues. My googlefu must be rusty.

I took ali to a buddies down on the Rappahannock where we get together on Wednesdays and play music.

More to follow...

I gave Ali the 50 cent tour of the place.

The pickin shack...

Ali said, "This is my kind of place! They have big snakes to play with..."

Ali: "I have a place to stay down near the river under the bottom stone!"

Ali: "Wow, I could retire here..."

Sorry, no pics of the jam session.

New tag coming up...

New tag.

One of these signs is nailed to a tree. Ali is hiding at the base of other.

1: This road Parallels one of three State Scenic Rivers that are within the tag boundary for a short distance. The tag is much prettier in the day.
2: Its also Just East and North of a populated place in another County that shares the same name as one of the seven related Sioux tribes.
3: Three digit number equals "12"

Happy gator hunting.

EDIT: An inmate PM'ed me regarding the clues and what he has found...and it didn't quite add up.
I forgot to mention I found a glaring error on Google maps while putting the clues together. Compare with another map. Two of the three clues will still get you to the location. Extra bonus points for figuring the error.

Grab; Lees Mill Road (651), NE of Lakota (aka "Teton," in the Sioux vernacular), adjacent the Rappahannock River (NOT "Mountain Run," as Mr. Google would have us believe:
