I have been out riding the old girl all day today (more of which later) including some fast motorway miles, and no leaks well apart from the very small one at the back of the gearbox

Excellent! Glad to hear it Kev. How did the old girl like the motorway?

So, are you coming to the Guzzi National Rally in Lavigne, Ontario next weekend? Hop on a plane - after your tribulations, I'll buy you a beer and if you ask very nicely, might even lend you a bike.

Nick

Today - 6AM. Opinicon Lake

Well the Rally is next week and I leave on Thursday morning early, so you'd better be quick.

Seriously though, any Guzzisti from the right side of the Atlantic (geographical, that is, not political) that made it across would find a welcome here.

Oh I hate to ask this question... but let's talk tyres

The tyres on my Ambo suck, they follow every bump and groove in the road, they track and wobble over every painted white line, they are not a lot of fun Now I think it has Metzler's fitted, although I can't remember for sure, but I was curious as to what you guys were using? so come on spill the beans.

Dunlop K70's. Relatively cheap ($104), reasonable wearing, look great, decent handling, and a nice blocky treat for all those gravel miles.

To my great embarrassment, I usually just put my foot on the rim and unless its squidgy, we're good to go. When I do use a gauge, I go for about 24 front, 28 rear (solo) - about what it says in the Eldorado manual.

Dunlop D-405's are very popular. Modest tread design, high profile. I have them on both the Sport and Eldo.

Bridgestone S11 Spitfires since Continental stopped making the Blitz and Tour in Loop sizes. Inflated to 32 front and 36 rear.
