Hey johnymac! Sorry this happened but glad you are ok.

Remember my incident? I used this shop in TN and they did a good job (granted it was on a frame, not a wheel.) They seem to have the right equipment and the single man operation does a great job. I had some delays in timing - I believe his mother or father passed away, so it was ok. When I went there, he had wheels from all over the country being repaired. Seems like his work is sought after.

I have a question, does anyone have a recommendation for a wheel straightening shop? I found one over in TN, called frame straight, they do wheel repair.

Any thoughts? Thanks!

A Welcome Back

Badexample and cuttle. Glad to see you two back. Looks like you had a great ride to remember. Speaking of coming back, I have an interview back in WNC next week. Keeping my fingers crossed and studying up on some old shit I haven't done in a while.

Any excellent bike shops along the I-40 corridor between Asheville and W-S?

Wifey and I will be puttering around WNC on our little dual-sports soon, and I already have some riding suggestions in a thread I started here a couple weeks ago.

Before we head North again, we'll be going to Winston-Salem to visit my grandmother. Are there any excellent bike shops along the I-40 corridor between Asheville and W-S? Not really shopping, but we won't be in a big rush, and enjoy bike shops.

Thanks!

There's a tree down across the road (which is easily negotiated) and some washing that would probably make it rough for cars.

I know this 'cause I'm a lawbreaker

All this walking on the wild side is wearing me down. I feel a mid-morning nap coming on.

Sorry you're having to work today.

You may know this already but EuroSport in Asheville is an excellent shop. They mostly carry BMW, are a new KTM dealer and also my dealer for Husqvarna (even though there is one much closer). Not sure what you're riding but if you have the time there are some great trails to be found at Brushy Mountain and Brown Mountain between A'ville and W-S.

I just got the map in the mail but I have no ideal who is putting it on or if it really exists. A riding buddy from FL mentioned it to me, maybe it is vaporware?
If the Asheville bunch does not know about the ride then it probably does not exist.

Broken Down in AVL

Hi inmates, I am passing through Asheville and just lost the charging system on my 93 GSPD, I am trying to get a hold of Ivan at Motorrad unlimited to set up appointment hours tomorrow (Saturday) his site says he does sat appointments, to get some parts to get me back home. If you know how to get a hold of him please help me get in touch. Please PM me as it will push to my phone via e-mail alert or just call me my phone is still the local asheville area code from when I lived here years ago : eight to eight two 4 too to zero three 5

Or if anyone has some used but functional airhead charging system parts I could use to limp home on and ship back and then order the enduralast parts I want I would be eternally grateful and buy you lots of beer and or bacon.

My bike is in asheville and I am staying with a friend in brevad so I have access to tools, a trailer and spare vehicles but I am lacking the parts.

Thanks

Awesome thanks for spreading the word, as for a new home the PD 200 miles from ticking over to 100k and it will get a full frame up refresh this winter. But it is the one bike I will never sell.
