Question ATV for ADV?

Can ATVs be used for adventure riding, or are they limited for short trips to the hills? I see a tempting 660 Raptor for sale.

If ATVs are allowed on roads where you live, they would be a good platform for adventure riding. I suspect they would have a much lower top speed. Models with chain drives might have a sprocket that could be changed to allow moderate highway speeds.
