Evening Dave: got it mounted, fits great, solid, lots of stuff inside...
I am glad I went with the black it seems to blend in well, like it came from the factory that way!

Thanks again Dave...

If it hasn't broken off yet, better remove that mud guard, it'll conflict with the box on the first big speed bump (topes)

Toolbox updates

This thread needs a few updates....some changes in the toolboxes.
They are fabricated and welded by a shop that has high tech equipment and professional welders, so they are more consistent and nicer than my old handmade riveted ones. They are a bit larger and will not adapt to the Zega cases. They're $199 and have a better mounting setup than the riveted boxes.

Aluminum hinge on boxes

The welded onboard toolbox for the GS/A with OEM panniers now has a full width aluminum hinge.

Good number of toolboxes now in stock @ $199.00

SW MOTOTECH RACKS Application

Any chance this box will fit a SW Mototech rack for a 2009 Moto Guzzi Stelvio ? Nice looking box.

Doubt it would fit. It's made to fit on the R1200GS/A with the OEM panniers, which makes the mounting possible. Angle of the box fits in the frame, with cutouts on the back to clear swing arm, so it's built for that one bike.

New Pillion box for 2014 GS and GSA

This is one of three new products coming out this month. The pillion box replaces the passenger seat, snaps into place using the ignition key lock on the bike. Capacity is 6L, keyless lock…user defined 3 digit combination. Powder coated inside and out, easy to strap luggage on top, makes for secure storage. I developed this in response to riders who wanted a toolbox but didn't have OEM luggage racks needed for our side mounted box. Ready to ship, at $299.
More photos and details at www.advgear.net

Fits both GS and Adventure 2014+ models

Nice looking with useful lockable capacity. Will this fit the 2013 GSW as well? Looks like the mount is the same and it is narrow enough to fit the factory grab handles.

I like that it can be quickly switched out for the pillion seat when riding with a passenger.

Yes, this will fit your 2013 GS-W as well as the 2014 GS and GSA, same seat setup.
