Oh, you mean it's August?

It's alright if you're skeered.

We'll most likely play it by ear and find a nice dispersed (free) camping area near Burgdorf Hot Springs. We can put up a pie plate with directions at the hot springs for anyone coming in after Saturday the 7th.....

"Elevations in the area range from about 6000' to about 8500'.

In the summer, activities range from hiking, camping, fishing, horse backing, mountain biking, dirt biking, ATVing, sight seeing, ect.

Fall and winter activities include the above and also hunting and snowmobiling. Access from McCall to Burgdorf in the winter is strictly by some type of snow capable machine. The area is usually snowbound until the middle of June.

Except for the main roads, Warren Wagon Road & Burgdorf Road, most of the roads are only suitable for high clearance vehicles, preferably 4X4s. It is ATV and dirt bike country. It is also popular with mountain bike riders able to handle the elevation changes of thousands of feet within a couple of miles distance.

Most of the land surrounding Burgdorf is managed by the U.S. Forest Service, Payette National Forest. Some is managed the the Bureau of Land Management. There are also parcels of private land scattered through the area.

Tips: Depending on the seasons' snowfall, the trails are usually clear by July and open through September, sometimes a little longer. It gets cold in October.

Clothing depends on the weather, but it usually freezes at night all summer. Thunder storms are possible at any time.

Take drinking water with you as none of the ground water in this area is safe to drink without filtering or boiling.

Wild animals, including moose, elk, deer, bear, wolves, cougars, river otters, pine marten, and others are in the area. Chinook salmon spawn in the creeks, peaking in August.

Be aware that wolves are very territorial and may attack any dogs with you. Moose cows with calves may attack anything. Don't push your luck with moose! This is also "Bear Country".

Read and abide by the information at the trail heads on how to interact with horses and pack stock you may encounter.

There is no cell phone service in the area.

Contact the McCall Ranger Station, Payette National Forest, Idaho, telephone #208 634-0400"

My Boise buddies are ready. Pouring there this am.

I've heard talk of truck pooling, bike hauling and DC3 cargo planes landing in the meadow
Bucket list stuff going on here......

Yeah, I wanna fly in on the DC3.

John, is that the same cargo plane you use for your Costa Rica imports?

Dare to compare, they are often the exact same as oEM! As in same brand manufacturer. AND yes, alot cheaper, I use then all the time, just like your insurance company likes.

Besides its just a Tundra.

Your mech likes the bigger markup of OEM.
