Impressed

Paramud, if you and Natalie don't turn this into a book, well.....

Honestly, I have always admired Airborne troops, when I was in 7th grade at Fort Benning my school was next to your jump towers. We would spend recess and lunch watching guys get hung up in the dam things. Your adventures on this trip and your approach to dealing with them is classic Airborne. Just get the job done.

However, you take a back seat to Natalie. Looking at your early picks I thought she was a very nice umbrella girl. But she is tough as nails.

Many cheers for your past adventures and prayers for your future ones.

Thank you for your Service

It's fine at 70mph...down hill at 100 can get a little sketchy...

Day 23

So we wake up and go on an arctic ocean tour. Due to "security" concerns they do not allow you to drive out to the ocean because it goes through oil company land. The tour was very informative.

We see the national forest. It is so far north that no trees can grow.

Oil wells.

So we get to the arctic ocean.

These 2 guys are pedal biking from the arctic ocean to the antarctic over 15 months.

So Natalie and I go in. I roll up my pants above my knees and we go in.

SUPRISE!!!!

I propose. Surprise has been accomplished.

She said YES!

I celebrate.

Its hard to hide a ring on one bike. I put it in the glovebox of the bike (on the front left of the fairing). During the clutch change she actually took the box out but didnt realize what it was. The tour guide said we were the first to do it.

We continue the tour a bit happier.

The caribou that we saw yesterday moved into town.

We go to pack up the tent, turn around and see this guy looking at me.

We head back to coldfoot and it rains most of the way. We actually didnt get off the bike for 240 miles of dirt. We just stopped twice and stretched without getting off the bike. The rain will do that to you.

Its pretty crazy going 70 in the dirt, in the rain.

Arrive safely in coldfoot and have some beers.

We found out they have free camping in coldfoot and sled dogs!

Miles: 240

CONGRATS, you will need to keep this report for in no time at all you will have children /grand children and this trip will be like the early Vikings coming all the way across the Atlantic in an open boat.

A first for you two in many ways, that clutch repair and the proposal

WAY TO GO

hugs to Nat for putting up with you all that way

ride smart

First, Thanks for your service.
Second, Congratulations, her shoulder doesn't seem to be bothering her right now.
Third, I like your style, you set a goal, and get it done, obstacles in the way?, up, over, around, or if necessary thru (the parking lot clutch change is memorable) .... Your success is assured.
