Western Germany to Tallinn in Estonia, riding through Poland, Lithuania and Latvia. The sun shone most of the way.

Alps ( I, F, Aus, Ger) Camping Rules ???

Hello everone,

I have never camped in Europe but intend to do a fair bit soon.

What are the general legal rules in Europe ( Alps) when it comes to pitching your tent somewhere for the night?

Cheers,
Arek

A quick search led to this thread. Wild Camping in Europe

No, I haven't read through it all to see if it answers your question

I'm hoping the latter.

I love my beer and when I came across that field, I thought it might be hops.

Hops are flowers, and they don't look like that when growing. More like this:

Not a grain farmer, nor have I played one on TV, but I'd guess that's barley. An even more key ingredient in beer.

Neither, it's wheat or Barley, difficult to tell (for me) at that stage, I think Barley has longer 'ears'.....

G'day from the other end of the globe, tagesk

The Australian AusTourers are back for another Ben Hur of a ride, this time the Western Alps...and plenty of gravel.
Yet another HUUUGE yarn to follow, I'll post a link here in October.
