Haha ..... Yes, ...however in this case the Pilot Power 3's are fitted for longevity ......Graeme (panigale) doesn't normally run them but he has just been on a trip to Italy and didn't want to have to change tyres half way through his trip. The Pilot Power 3's are pretty good tyres and last really well...the tyres have done 3000 miles now and still have plenty of tread ....and the grip ain't bad either (normally he would get less than 2000 from his usual tyres). However, he does say that there is some compromise as they do squirm a bit under 'spirited' riding.

As mentioned previously ..on Friday we met a friend from N. Ireland who was going to Aberdeen (heading for Shetland) ..he asked us to let him know of any decent roads he could try en-route to avoid the boring main trunk roads ....I told him that better than telling him, we would meet him and show him.

Our friend Keith and his SV1000....

I also knew it was his Birthday on Friday so we surprised him with a Birthday cake (complete with candle) that I had carried up to Braemar in my rucksack.

Filling up earlier in Crieff

the scooter lads were also heading for Braemar..

Keith in the Sma Glen ..A822..

I loved the Power One tyres I had ......great tyres with loads of grip ...in the dry...... not so good in the wet (but with no tread on the 'sides' of the tyres what do you expect! - you can't have your cake and eat it. ). However I have gone back to Bridgestones as the Power One's were getting too expensive for the mileage I am doing.

In fact i never understand the Michelins?

I didn't feel my front, and i never find the good setup of my suspension with them.

Michelin are not tires for me...

Aye, and I quite like those VW Combi vans...... I remember going around in one as a child when a friend's dad had one .... They were 'cool' even back then in the 60's.

I'm just putting this picture I found on the net here ...because it's the best pic ever ...taken of Josh Brookes last weekend at BSB Cadwell Park ..jumping the mountain.

Someone at Suzuki had the brainwave of putting a cape on him to get the best photo of all time ...... 'is it a bird? ...is it a plane? .....No, it's ...'

...... oh and it's a gixxer 1000! ....a blue n white one!

Great job!

They were 'RD's' in the UK, I had one of the older air cooled 250's back in the 70's .... this looks like it is one of the later LC versions ...probably the RD350LC ...(LC = Liquid Cooling).

The LC350 was an awesome wee bike ...probably one of the most fun bikes I have ever ridden...
