Looks like you are having a great time. Glad to hear to border was decent. I still maintain you would not have received such pleasantries from many of the other border crossings. My Canadian passport has expired and had to go up to Canada, did a lot of reading, and sever bad stories where included.

Thanks for taking the time to share!

I am dreaming about my trip, hopefully next summer I will be up there!

I had a hunch they were magpies!
Do they have the memory of an elephant the way the ones in Australia do? I hear they remember faces of people who do mean things to them, and gang up in revenge whenever they spot the enemy!

I recommend road tires the whole way to Dawson! Like I say, Highway 37 will chew your tires in no time!!!

Like many have suggested, if you need knobbies or a second set of tires and you don't want to carry them, have them shipped to Whitehorse or Dawson ahead of time!

Yup, on the KLR I did well with 80/20 tires and will likely shoe some Anekee 3's on the Tiger before my next trip.

thanks,

I'm enjoying your report! Jealous of that ride - I hope to someday. You might consider riding the Dalton Hwy, AK now?
Thanks for posting the RR.

Hey, I'll trade you a couple of bags of groceries for some freshly caught greenling.

Very jealous of this trip. A solo run would be some much needed therapy. We should go riding some time. I'm on a f800, but I'm not scared of trails. Just went out to weekes lake today. Good times
