Yep.

Picked up my '14 Terra on last Friday. This thread is a goldmine of info. Many thanks to all who contribute. Now for my stupid question: The bike came with a 4"x6" adhesive-backed foam pad. Any ideas what this is for?

Hhhmmmm......interesting. Sounds about the size of the air box opening (inside on the snorkel side). Does it look like filter foam or some other more dense (non-breathable) variety.

Congrats on the purchase! It's a real hoot!!

Could it be for mounting the alarm in the hidden box under the tail? Might be there so it doesn't rattle.

Congrats!

I got the same foam piece. I have no idea. I'd be interested as well if anyone has any ideas.

Is that 3M tape on the reverse side? Will it fit in the box under the tail?

I don't know if it's 3M, but it is a peel away backing with sticky tape underneath. It measures 4.375" x 5.75". I'm not positive, but I think this would be too big for the box under the tail.

It's for when you are ready to check the valve clearances.

You stick it to a wall at head height. Once you start the process of checking the valves you'll be needing it to soften the blow as you headbutt the wall muttering obscenities .

Congrats with your new redhead! :)

According to my dealer, this is a spare battery pad - I haven't checked there's one under the stock battery though.
