Member traveling seeks help with oil change in midwest.

Now in Texarkana, TX and will be heading north on Friday 8/30 and Saturday 8/31 on my DR 650. My route will take me north along the borders of western AR, MO & KS and eastern OK, KS & NE. Once I reach eastern NE and western IA, my route will take me north to southeastern ND and then home to PA or I'll head northeast to western WY & MT, western SD & ND then into SK then head east thru MD & ON and returning thru International Fall, MN and then home to PA.

Need a place to do oil change whether it is a member or independent shop or dealer. I have tools and oil filter but will need oil pan, 3 qts of synthethic or synthetic blend oil and a place to change it. Please send me a PM if you can lend me some assistance or know of someone or some place that can.

I hope someone is able to help SoPaRider. It would be worth it just to hear him tell you about some of his travels.

I hope you find another inmate to help you out just to be able to help a brudda out.

If it doesn't happen head to the nearest Walmart. Buy a tin foil baking pan as a drain pan. Head back to automotive parking area and do a oil change. See if the techs there will let you pour your oil out and trash your pan and filter in their cans.

I have not personally done this but have read several different reports of riders doing oil changes this way. Probably could do it at a parts store as well.

Wonder what's up?

Hmm, this exact same thread title is posted in the, Central From Da Nort Woods to the Plane States, thread. Several of us have responded, although SoPaRider hasn't answered anybody's posts yet on that thread.

sorry i missed ya

Well, I wished I had seen this sooner. If your ever back in Texarkana, look me up. I would be glad to help provide you a place for maintance. Facilities aren't fancy; but, I could assist with fluid disposal, run an errand, and get you outta the weather anyway.
Good luck with your travels
