If we paid attention to the road signs, we'd never have any adventures.

It's like I said, at every turn awaits an adventure!!

And it's a god thing that some us us think about fitting a motorbike in a quad trail!!

Used to 4x4 with a group here, famous last words were "lets go where the quads went!' Customized my cherokee a little more every time I heard that.
Long weekend coming, anyone have any plans?

Hi Wos!
The long weekend happens to be one of my "on call" weekends, so I have to be available for work. This means no rides for me till the following weekend.
Regards....just jeff

Hey Guys!
Looking to see if anyone is up for a ride this weekend. I don't have any definite plans or direction but would be into getting together as I am free and not "on call" this weekend.
Aimlessly wondering....justjeff

Well being as I have waited around with no answer for nearly 20 minutes I am going for an evening ride to Square Lake!

Hey, I'm a Vstrom Rider new to lloydminster... Just thought I'd let anyone in the area know that I'm almost always down to go for a ride. Just subscribed to the page, will keep an eye on it! also, anyone know of a good shop to order/install Heidenau scout tires? I've beenr unning Metzeller Tourance's for the last 50,000 km but I'm beginning to ride a lot more off road and need a better tire for it!

Hello!

Hi Richardson!
Nice to see another person on the thread! Don't know about shops as i do all my own work but i can give you a couple of links of places in Canada where I have bought tires at good prices.
http://www.canadasmotorcycle.ca/?pop...FcwWMgod6nIA1A
http://aviciouscycle.ca/mainpages/default.aspx

Both places sell other accessories as well. I have spent a lot of money at AVC and they have been very good to deal with. I have only bought tires at Canada's Motorcycle and were happy there too!

Best regards....just jeff

Just buy them online, then we get together and do a tire installation party!!

Joke aside, pretty much everyone around here can change their own tires, if you need pointers or borrow some tools...

Welcome to our crazy house!!

Oh, and by the way, i just bought online some Mitas from MX-1 Canada out of BC. Can't wait to install them and see how they fair compared to the Heidenaus...

Welcome home!

Hey Grump welcome home! Your track looks like you flew direct from NS to home! Private jet?
How was the tour around NS? Hope you had some good weather there.

Back home

Yup, back home. Still trying to get use to the 2 changes in time zones. Ireland to Nova Scotia wasn't bad but really struggling with NS to Alberta.

We had hoped to see some fall colors in NS but things were still green. Saw a few bikes riding the Cabot Trail. Talked to a couple from Maine who were just finishing up the Trail. He was riding a ST1300, she a Buell. Grins from 1 ear to the other.

Once I get caught up around the farm, I will put together a ride report about riding in Ireland. Have about 2000 pics to sort through and get some good ones to share.

Victoria Trail

Just wanted to thank grumpybear and The Flounder for joining AlbertaDualSport on our Victoria Trail Ride today. We met up toward the end of the trail but it was real nice seeing some Cold Lake faces. I've posted some pics on AlbertaDualSport but I'll post some here as well.

The weather was great this morning when we left Fort Saskatchewan and just got better. We rode along the North Saskatchewan river, following the Victoria Trail up to the Victoria Settlement, then to Smoky Lake for lunch. From there we all headed back to whence we came at our own pace.

Our first break, setting out some ground rule early on:

Our second break

Our third break shortly after meeting up with the Cold Lake riders:

Smoky Lake

Lunch

I hope we get to do this again

Cheers!
