Dunlop 606 front and 908 rear. Bruno's recommendation. Totally changes the bike in the dirt - from a slippery, scary beast to a monster The 908 pulls through sand like a tractor. They are very expensive though - some of the guys are trying other alts - please comment.

Turning off the ABS is the other key tactic.

[QUOTE=Bruno T .;22251391]Sweet videos, Randy ! Thanks for taking and posting them.

Make no mistake about it, Jon might have come in a little hot on that corner but he has the talent, as does Matt, to be an outstanding rider.

Agreed! Matt and Jon have picked up off-road technique unbelievably fast - that's Jon's first time on the 950 in the rough stuff and he was awesome! Same for their new 450's - they are really picking it up fast (notwithstanding the occasional tree branch in the radiator)!

Thanks! That tree in the radiator was nuts! Now I know why they sell those fancy guards.

As for my tires on the 950... Pirelli Scorpion Rally front, TKC80 rear.... the front is outstanding for off road, and "if" I happen to hit triple digits on the road...I'm sure it would perform flawless

The TKC rear did great, but after the 400 mile trip, its showing a little more wear than I expected. It does have some pretty shallow knobs though. Going to try the Scorpion Rally rear next. A 140/80-18 opens a lot more doors in the tire dept. The 150/70-18 is recommended but more money, and less choices.

I'll be there for my first GLDS trip. Paul I rode with you and the gang earlier this summer on a Devil's Lake ride. Was on the WR450.

I'll look for you and Bruno again. Can't miss that crowd!

I think you bumped your head too..... cause we were at Teds Chandler Hill Challenge, not Whiskey Creek.

I'm out for this weekend. Going to Wheatland Music Festival

I have an Odd Lots boot bag. I think it is a Klyme knock off.
