I think we'll be there...

I'll probably have the vintage bike, so I won't be doing anything too crazy.

Hey guys!

I'm pretty new to Texas was checking out threads to find some good places to ride. I have been to the Canadian river a hair north of Amarillo, pretty sweet place, lots of trails. I've heard that Red River is awesome. I am planning to get out there soon and check it out.
Anyway, I was wondering if you guys knew of any good dirt riding closer to me up here in the panhandle.

I still need to order parts to get my fork seal fixed and with class mon thru thur, it's going to be hard getting anything done this week.

I know Carrie has been itching to ride, so I may have to bring the 100cc vintage beast.

Panhandle places to ride.

Sidewinder,
Since you mentioned the Canadian River, I assume you're near Amarillo. Lake Meredith has 2 offroad areas you can ride. Check out http://www.nps.gov/lamr/planyourvisi...y-vehicles.htm.

You might try a couple of the enduros that are up your way. http://www.tscec.org/

Thanks, I appreciate it. I went to Rosita Flats, that where on the Canadian I was. I didn't realize they had another area on the other side of the lake, though. I'll have to check it out.

Ride this weekend?

I apparently need to find more riding buddies. None of my current cronies can ever ride for various reasons. So I'm interviewing new dirt friends.

Requirements are simple.
1. You want to ride this weekend. And pretty much any time you can get away.
2. You are reasonably tolerate of a girl riding at a moderate pace. (I don't have nuts, I can't think through shit the way you guys do. Nor do I care to do so.)

Yes, I suck, but I would like to think my enthusiasm makes up for what I lack in ability. I do ask questions if I think you're better than me. So unless you tell me to just shut up and ride, there will be Q&A moments. If you do tell me to shut up and ride, I will respect that. I just really, really, really want to ride.

I'm also cool with having to go do beginner loops by my lonesome if you need to go ride fast and aggressive with the boys for a bit. If I get one good loop in on challenging stuff, I'm a happy girl. Better yet, give me drills to practice while you're gone and I'll think you're the greatest thing ever.

Referrals available upon request.

I would but I'm in need of a new shock and new forks for the 480.

Appreciated. That's Z@ch's excuse too. Broken bike.

Keep me posted.
