I got home last Thursday. 3 weeks & almost 4k miles. 2 nights before I left home, Oregon alone got more than 10,000 lightning strikes and had 77 new fires the next morning. Several planned routes were replaced with Plan B because of road & area closures.

Found some new-to-me trails in the Blue Mtns of SE Washington. Ms.Caponord liked the wide ATV trails. Ms.Beta will be heading north next year.

Have FUN! Wish I was going too!

Californians (most not all) have this feeling of entitlement when it comes to there sport or outdoor activity and they blindly go out there and say its theirs. What they don'y realize is all the trails would just get overgrown if we all stopped using them. People in California just don't know how to share, its gimme gimme gimme.

I stop on trails for hikers and MTBs most of them don't or they give me a attitude like "what are you doing here" some actually say it out loud and try to confront me. I just blow them off and say "its a free country" and ride along my merry way.

smart hikers and mtbs would realize who clears and maintains the trails, (dirt bikers carrying chain saws). most all trails were cut by dirt bikers back in the day.
