I always hated that rock and now it's out of the way. It is not 990 proof. I came to that slot, hit one rock just before, which kicked me into that mutha. Not sure how it didn't knock me off the bike.

Lookin' at T-33 crash, it looks like a pretty good set of steps. From the looks of the photos I'd say I'd be bashing my skid pretty good. Maybe it's more of a dirtbike or mountain bike ride 1st round....

My son and I have been up there on our xr250's... its a rough climb in spots for sure. You did AWESOME on your 990 on Saturday, so... if anyone can make it, YOU can!

We are actually heading up to Bunce school tomorrow... we will look for you there!

---

For the rest of you guys,

I had a great time meeting y'all and riding with you on Saturday. It was awesome to learn some new dirt roads and meet some new Dual-Sport enthusiasts! I had to turn around at Central City for other family obligations (I was the guy on the XR650R), but I really, really, really, enjoyed riding with you guys that far. Let's have another Dual-Sport ride soon! Please? Yes? Yes?

Here are a few more pics:

Ride Video

Here's a crappy ride video I threw together last night. Obviously, a 6-minute video is probably not going to capture the glory of a 10 hour day in the saddle, but I tried to hit some of the highlights.

Huge props to the big bikes on this trip; I was on one of the lighter bikes and I'm still sore 3 days later!

RawHyde Colorado Adventure Days - Sept. 12-15

Hey Guys: Just curious if anyone else is planning to go down to the RawHyde Adventure Days in Hartsel, CO next week?

----------------------------

Neil: Thanks for the great video. It had my kids dancing in the hallway. It had my wife thinking I was insane.

That section that starts at 3:36 looks to have a serious pucker factor. After my wife worked herself into a lather, I eventually told her I wasn't actually with you guys on that section. No matter; she still thinks I'm nuts. Well, to be honest, she thinks you guys are nuts too.

Mike: Yeah, JBWeld might work on that oil pan. I kept the damaged pan and will try a repair and see if it works. Never hurts to have an ugly, patched-up spare around. Photos below of the damage. The big ding is only about 3/8" in diameter but was enough to crack the metal through to the inside of the pan. Lucky me though...if I had hit that same rock you did, both me and the oil pan would have ended up in Weld County.
