Juames - saw you on your new bike today, crossing Moodie on Fallowfiled heading west around 4:40pm. Great looking bike!

That's one option...but I was thinking more of using them as a cooler full of ice and beer!

Not me. Friend needs a helicoil repair kit for his bike. I asked the Ottawa guys because they know what they're talkin' about.

Thanks for the input!

Do you know what size is needed? I am going to Ottawa Fasteners at lunch time....right beside my building...and can see if they have what you need.

Thank you for the offer. The guy that needs it is in Owen Sound. He didn't know the size, so I suggested he go to Fastenal or SB Simpson. He'll figure it out.
Thanks
Mike

I need a seal

I goofed. I forgot to buy a new dust seal for the rear sprocket carrier bearing on my DR650. The new bearing is installed but I can't find the seal in stock anywhere. the seal is 52mm OD 34mm ID 6mm THK. I need it today and of course GBS is closed today. Would anyone here know where I could find one in Ottawa today?

Interest in LED aux lights?

On another forum I belong to there is GB going on for a variety of LED lights, light bars etc. My interest was in a pair of 3"square 2x3 LED lights that have CREE technology (whatever that means) and produces 1920 lumens each in spot or flood. I figured flood would be good for the trails and good enough for the road. They look light D2s. Price is $100 USD/pr and another $15 for a light harness. The GB closes 30 Sept and shipping is via USPS vs the donkey ball licking UPS.

I have nil affiliation but figured if there were others interested we could save a bit on shipping which of course is extra.

The lights come from a company called TOTRON

Looking for some Ottawa area riders (BMW or otherwise)

Great day for a ride today! The gates around the Marlborough forest are up so went for a quick trail ride.

I am on-call for work, by myself, and almost got stuck, so didn't stay out too long.

Nice UralBerger...

I went for a ride as well into Algonquin Park.. had to get out on some gravel roads to kill some boredom.

Nice Africa Twin, tattewell. You don't see those everyday in Canada. I recently left Ottawa and moved to Berlin, and that is a very popular bike around here. I've thought of trying to find one for myself but I'm currently looking at something a little more pavement-oriented as I don't expect to ride much offroad living in downtown Berlin....for now, at least.

Thanks... I bought it just outside Amsterdam while I was living in Germany for 4 years. They are very nice on the road, don't let the looks fool you. Wrestling a 500+ lb bike in the dirt is not fun.
