Info please: where to stay on Rt96 between 101 and I5?

We're riding up from Bay area to Oregon this week - taking US101 up to Arcata and then heading down 299 to Rte96. From there it looks like there aren't many towns/options for accommo. Thinking Willow Creek might be a good place to stop - then we have a nice morning ride up the rest of 96 - only going to Ashland, so not a big day.

Wondering if anyone has any recs for motels around there? (not camping). Thanks!

Willow Creek is a nice quiet little hamlet. I think Bigfoot is the only motel in town. There's a gas, a pizza joint across the street and a bar within staggering distance. All an ADVRider could ask for.
