i seriousley considered it...but ive got the ole pig up to 16-18mpg (at 55mph) with the ac on high.
so im not sure the oil burner is worth the cost and hassle.

hOWEVER...a few months ago i ran into this in fort lauderdale...and it got me thinking again....

i chased the guy down and turns out he bought it at auction...previous owner
Arnold Schwarzenegger...

among other extensive mods it has a 6.6 duramax set up to run BIo. and produce 550 hp
here are the details if you are so inclined
the floor mats said "girlie man" and the horn button was the great seal of the state of kALIFORNIA.

Up for sale my 03 KLR. 24k on the odo, comes with Ortlieb dry bags and side racks, pelican case, very comfy Seat Concepts seat, center stand, Progressive fork springs with recent seals, Galfer front brake line, Uni filter, spare clutch cable, wheel bearings and I'm probably forgetting a thing or two. The plastic has the usual KLR fade and is scuffed in spots. Rear damping is getting soft, R and R charges $100 to service the shock. Local pick up only, bike is located in NW Florida. PM or call 850-259-9994.

KLR Rider

Went on a ride this weekend with Barney and this KLR.

It was right there all day with the $10K 690s and 500s.

Good bike from a good ADVer.

No way! Inconceivable!!! I can't believe a Jap bike can hang with a KTM.

WTB: Junked out TT/XT500 with decent motor

And, on the lookout for a thrased TT500 or XT500.

Would like a TT, especially one with the aluminum swingarm (post 79).

Condition is irrelevant; all it needs to have is a good motor. Even if it's been sitting, no big deal. I have a donor bike to slide the motor right into. So, if the rest is thrased...who cares.

If you have one or know where one lies at, let me help take it off your or their hands. After all, who likes kick starting?

No I think he's Jurassic or something. I know he's purple, not that there's anything wrong with that.
