That thing is looking sharp, and what is crazy is that with that Akra system and maybe a lithium battery, you very well could be sub 400lbs wet. That is pretty incredible for a budget bike like this, with this much power.
There's something on the rear seat.
Is that the stock tail too?

Some kind of optional cover. Whatever there is on the official yamaha mt09 Accessories page, they installed it on this bike. I see a tail tidy with two mounting positions, low and high, optional blinkers, rearsets... Sweet

Looks like different foot pegs, maybe mounted on some type of eccentric for adjustability?
Euro led turn signals and rear fender thingy, and a rear seat cowl. Looks like some engine case guards on there too.

Steel subframe? I'm hoping this bike will support hard panniers at some point down the line.

First let me say I like the looks of this bike with only a few tweaks needed. Is it just me or does everyone see the need for a tank colored side cover plate just below the seat. Seems like something is missing there. Also, what's up the horn just seating out there under the lower triple?

Blame the NTSB.

Using the Daytona cams would be even more pointless, remember up to 2012 the only differences between the Street Triple & the Daytona was the cams, necessitating forged pistons & up spec inlet valves to live with the extra revs the Daytona remap needed to work. Adding the Daytona spec cams, pipe & map will do frog-all to the output of the tiger 800.

Ask Ronnie Saner. He is the guy that set up this Speed Triple for Team Latus that Joe Kopp Piloted to set a new record to the Top of Pikes Peak.

On my wr250X the horn was sticking out all weird too. It was really easy to rotate the bracket and tilt it so it was hidden. I hope the FZ-09 has a similar quick-fix.

Cool video, apart from the wally with the olive stick in his mouth, but I'm struggling to see the relevance of discussing a race prepped speed triple in this context

It's Joe "Kopp" and a stock Ducati currently holds the record.
