This is the last pic from yesterday, just goofin' around with some of the editing tools.

Classic lines, to my eye - I never get tired of the view.

Gotta get you and Prior together; he's handy in the kitchen, too.

No chance on me trying anything on you. Don't believe there has ever been a time I have even hinted on kitchen duties. :) Usually you can smell the BBQ from the Parkway on your ride in. But yessir, that Alex is a super chef and is happiernheck to grill up some pretty tasty supper!

Heather, if you are following, that was the ONLY small sized shirt in the entire inventory - I had both ladies inside go through absolutely every shirt in the place with me! Don't know why XXL is the standard in MC shirts!

Dnutz,

I'll pass that on and thanks again for going to all the trouble. FWIW, she wore it to school today which means it passes he seal of approval.

I agree! Love the view from that perch.

This is climbing Wards Gap yesterday from the Piedmont near Cana, Virginia up to the Parkway, a first for me and the RK on this final couple miles of dirt and gravel. As always it's steeper than it looks, and I really coulda used a good set of knobbies on the last switchback, an off-camber affair with three or four inches of loose gravel to contend with.

"When it doubt, give it gas!" is what we learned as kids. I did, and we roosted through the turn like an 800-pound motocrosser. Fun stuff, although the Road King now badly needs a bath...

I don't know, it looks steep in that second picture. I've never been on that road but you've sparked my interest.

Hot and hazy down in the flatlands yesterday, which hampered the view. Sure felt good to climb back up into the mountains.

Wards Gap starts out paved down below, but the last couple of miles to the Parkway is dirt and gravel. The RK did just fine, but there's an off-camber switchback near the top that's layered with several inches of loose marbles, and I puckered-up pretty good getting through it.

That's a beautiful photo, amigo. The B&W is a nice touch. :-)

My visit back in March was the first time I ever stopped at that old farmhouse, although it always catches my eye on the way by. I didn't get "up close and personal" onnaconna feeling like I was perhaps violating someone's space, although I'm sure one of these days, when the mood and the lighting is right, I'll stop again and see what the camera can find.

I like the photo JB2 has posted-up on his website, too: http://www.bikenutz.com/contact/

Thanks for the props. The photo JB2 posted looks as if it could be the same house.

You're welcome, amigo. Yes, same house. JB2 prolly woulda chimed in with an affirmative already, but life (including an impending RR here on ADV, I hope...) has had him by the short hairs of late.
