I am using the 15w50 and have no complaints with this oil after switching from Amsoil.

I highly recommend this oil and the customer service from Aimhi is great.
That's the Amsoil sample. Your seeing at 10k.
Here is the Royal Monarch at 11k

I originally posted the wrong UOA, sorry about the confusion. Above is the correct Royal Monarch one as indicated from Blackstone
I like it a lot though, I may mix 1 10/40 and 1 20/50 in my 2 quart sump to bring the viscous up into the 40 weight ranges.
Customer service is A+

Ahhhh I see. Yes I was confused and a little bewildered how the manufacturers cst value for a virgin sample of 13.11 had risen to 14.74 in your 1000km used sample. I think the royal is already on the low end of 40w in its virgin state hence why it dropped into the 30w range. You may just want to go with 15/50w like I did in my f800gs.

I will pose your question to the factory and lab. What I can tell you is that there will be slight variations between VOA results which I have seen many a times based on hygiene during taking the samples and contamination between oil and draining methods. Either way I will send it off to the experts

Please take note that we are currently backordered on the 15w50 1 Gallons until the beginning of Oct. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Also feel free to send them the UOA and so they can see the 40 weight is shearing down to a 30 grade rather quickly. It meshes with what he saw in the VOA.

Oh even better, we will have their lab guys from Riverside Laboratories (which is the technical arm of Royal Mfg. & Troco) look directly at these posts so they can see your inputs and if something needs to be adjusted this will need to be done

Hi Guys - I got word back from the lab. The Vis on the test is way below their lab predictions and tests so they suspect fuel dilution of sorts. Either way Royal Mfg. has offered to send the next sample through their lab to figure out what is up if anything.

"We aim to get the vis at the mid-point of the grade. A 10W-40 has an industry vis range of 12.5 - 16.3cSt at 100 C.

Our formula predicts a Vis of 14.7cSt

Without knowing the blend number I am unable to get the exact value for the blend.

I am quite surprised that the Vis is that low after 1000 ml (correction to ml from hrs) and at present cannot come up with a logical answer. I would have automatically said fuel dilution, but nothing is listed.

You might want to let these guys know that we have full testing capabilities here in Tulsa. Would be good field trial data for us too.

Paul"

1000 miles Bern. Not sure how many hours that equates to.
Blackstone has the fuel value listed in the UOA.

10W50 Full Syn is in and will ship as early as Oct 2nd.

I just got back from the Quien Sabe 600 put on by RMAR, once again a great adventure. We rode point to point and camped anywhere we landed. Here are some pics from the trip through the northern NM mountains and we randomly ended up in CO as well!!???

But mostly had fun with this nice group of tough riders

Foto Big John

Awesome country with wide open areas to open up

And deep rivers to get stuck in

More rocky areas than expected

We ran into some really cool little rural towns, and almost had some fuel supply issues since many of the pumps was out of service - but they usually had icecream!

Can't find the 10w50 on your webstore? VERY pleased with the clutch and shifting with the 15w50, but it's almost winter....
