No drama there, other than my tanks pressurizing and puking fuel everywhere, including all over me.

:) Throttle Rockers should come with the warning, "Not for off road use."

I'm not ready to admit that this photo depicts poor riding skills. For now, let's just say that it reflects some very poor parking decisions.

Cool pics.
thanks for posting. I am hoping to have $ saved by spring for a 990 of my own.
this is the type of riding I am looking for.
mind you the desert 100 and Virginia City Grand Prix are still on my list but I am thinking less hazard on a dualsport ride

Actually rode it! Will I buy it? No. But I did ride it. :)

Corkscrew Pass

Here's the spot on Corkscrew Pass where my bike stopped. I coasted back down from here.

What did you think of the 1190R? I'll be testing both the "r" and the street version this October here in Portland. I did ride a 990, and loved it. How does the new bike stack up?

Awesome photos, BTW. Colorado RULES ( I lived in Denver back in 2004 - should never have left)

Well, here's the deal. The 1190R is a great bike. A fabulous bike. The bike has gobs of smooth power, has all the bells and whistles. But . . . would I buy it? No. It's just not what I would ever be in the market for. I hope KTM builds a mid-sized bike with great off-road capabilities. Until they do, my 950 will do just fine.
