Thanks Shane, I reckon that you could knock a good one up (given adequate time)

On the other hand, I don't trust my fabrication skills (unless I can make one from wood )

IGH, I have a Polymate, mate, but we head to FNQ later in the year & I'd rather not tow a trailer 3000km.

Also I reckon that it would be easier to take the bike to rides on my own as the polymate is quite high & the plastic floor is super slippy. Makes loading the bike a bit tricky...

Thanks for all the help & advice lads, appreciate your help. Boneman

Tow hitch bike carrier recommendations..

I think this subject has been touched on before but the search option on this site is a little weird...

I've finally purchased my dream car - Toyota Hilux dual cab tray back and I'm pretty keen on one of those hitch (Reese style) motorbike carriers. The ute has a canvas canopy on it and has upgraded suspension (2 inch lift). Has anyone got one and can recommend a particular model? In no hurry at this stage.

Cheers, Richard.

I was looking at them as well & am considering making one myself, they don't look too difficult.
It may be an option for you!

Does any one have some plans?

Do you have a drop side tray that overhangs the hitch? That might be a hurdle.
