Pink/Blue slip NSW with oil leaks

NSW blokes , can you still get a Pink or Blue slip if there appears to be some oil and dirt congealed around some parts of the motor?

That depends on the person doing the slip. If you get a right c*nt (as I did with WifeSillas car once) then you will be pinged for utter shit. I appealed the wife's car and got the shit removed from the slip.

If oil is wet, looks fresh-ish, maybe drips have run, then likely you'll get pinged. That is a leak.

If it looks old, congealed, a bit like soft tar and all dirty, and localised to a small area, then it's a weep, not a leak, and most people will let it go. If it is a weep, then a wash will improve it out of sight. It only has to look clean for 10 minutes y'know.......

I once had a BSA B50 that i put rego on, blue slip.
Naturally, it leaked.

When I pulled up, i discretely carried a rag and wiped the evidence :)

is it that hard to clean the engine down ? it all comes down to the individual doing the inspection. a clean engine is a better proposition.

Clean it properly (entire bike) and drop new oil in it. Trailer it to the shop. Push it in.

Better still fix it :)
