The missus and I have returned from our trip to the Bar Ten. I figured I would update this thread for posterity with what we found.

I will admit that the road from St George to the school house is in the Civic class. However after that it gets a little rougher. And when it rains, the whole thing can be a challenge.

The problem is the mud. Its not that you can get stuck in the mud. Its that the stuff is like riding on grease or ice. Oh, and did I mention they had the rain of the century while we were down there. 2.25 inches in about 2 hours. Washed the road out completely. Anyway, enough whining, we made it out safe and sound. Here are some pics of the way.

As you can see, the road north of the school house is pretty sedate.

After the school house it gets a little rougher, but without the rain still not so bad.

These next couple are of the road from the ranch South to the Grand Canyon.

These are the guys you see riding in the last pic. They are riding from Mexico City to Alaska. Great guys. At least one is an inmate, but I am afraid I did not get their handles.

Had a little problem with the clutch on one of the Huskies.

Met up with them later in St. George, they made is out safely, even with out a clutch.

Oh, and even though I stressed a lot when the road washed out, it was all worth it.

Very cool!

Yes, the road from Bar-Ten to the river is REALLY rough. We had a couple of broken pannier racks on our trip, boxes falling off.

Also those in the know won't ride the area if it rains for the reason you mentioned. Greasy!

Here's our pic of the river below Bar-Ten, check out the difference in color. WOW!

Looking forward to a full RR.
