Roads in the ADKS

Have a look at Keese Mills Road running from Paul Smith up to St. Regis Falls. This was closed to public traffic until about 4-5 years ago. Twenty miles about half of dirt and gravel through the Park. At least five miles of no houses. (I know, I blew a tire there).

Look at Slush Road to the north off of there. leads up to McCullums road which will bring you back to Route 30.

There are a lot of roads I don't know and are not well mapped, but appear on Mapquest. Could be a lot of fun.

Cool been a long time since I rode out there. If you happen to be out that way again could you check out a road for me? Used to 4x4 this road by Rainbow lake called kushaqua-mudpond rd that runs from County hwy 30 to Hwy 99 along the river. Used to be pretty torn up and desolate. I'm hopeing it hasn't changed too much.

Nobody has added to this thread in awhile. Are these route still ok ? Any problems ?

Any info on tracks and routes for bigger bikes, 800GS, would be great.

Thanks

Mike

Sorry we might be too busy riding to answer!

Keese's Mills Rd/ Blue Mountain Rd (on St Regis Falls side) had a bridge out halfway down about 2 weeks ago, unknown if it is finished yet.

As far as routes most of these should still be good, you may also want to poke around in the Regional Forums -> Northeast and Greater Flugistan there are several ADK threads kicking around there.

Any particular areas you are interested in??

check out this thread as well http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=867158

Signs are still up for the bridge out on Blue Mountain Road as of yesterday.

Is there any way to get a useful print out of these trails that you could really use to ride by?

I guess the easiest way would be to just download the topo maps from USGS and hilite the trails by hand.
