The DWAdvCamp looks fantastic. Let us know just as soon as the hurdles are cleared and the facilities are up and running. I'll sign up for a week or two, and have an idea for getting a group up there to help stir up some dust!

gopro

Nice video and audio from the GoPro Bash3r !! I'm getting ready to buy a gopro soon...was waiting for some improvements in the audio and a good mic that could be plugged into the unit even with the protective plastic case installed. Do you have something special put together for your audio? The quality of sound seems so much better than any other gopro videos I have seen.

My group of DR650 riders met up with your group at the Victory motel in Maybell, CO after you had left them. We sure had a good time talking with them on a big old front porch connected to a big old house/hotel from the late 1800's. Looking forward to your next video

Dang!

I take your old GS up the Trans Wisconsin Trail and miss 7 pages of this? I can't wait to get caught up. I'm only as far as Muley Point on top of the Dugway and had to tell you thanks! As for the GS, she was flawless through Wisco and then on the Cannonball Run back home to Minnesota, by the way...

Bash3r's Video

What a great job on the video Bill--------it conveyed what the Moki Dugway is like way better than pictures. Keep up the good work.

Great video Bash3R

Last time I went up and then down the Moki Dugway I was wishing for my other bike. Had the cruise missile that ride. Would have been tempted to ride it right to Muley point if I'd know what I was missing. Think I'll start planning for next year and stitch together the UTBDR and COBDR like you guys have done. This report I'm sure will inspire allot to do the same.

looking down from the Moki

It did get me up and down the Moki without much issue but Muley point would have been a challenge with this big horse.

This is epic. And I know there is so much more coming.

What are everyone's ages? I'm 60 and need to start doing some of this kind of traveling before I'm too old.

I'm 62
Bud is 68 and he had no trouble handling the 690 on this ride.
Dingweeds is 54
We had to sing happy 40th to Bill on this ride.

Bud did admittedly pack too much stuff----but it was the first time he had ever done a trip like this---------he is an excellent offroad rider and has done it all his life--------but had never camped and carried cooking gear on an offroad bike for a trip this long.
Everybody on a trip like this needs to be prepared to go it alone is something happens--and we all realized this and didn't share carrying essentials.
