We spent about 10 days in Moab. We had been headed for the San Juan Mtns in Colorado, but it was too rainy. Its pretty awesome out there. I have a lot of photos that I need to organize. Here's a few http://advrider.com/forums/showthrea...5#post22362045

Go back one page and watch Kenny61's video of the same stream crossing in a flash flood. 2nd try, he goes completely under water. He pushes the bike out the other side, and yells, "I made it!!!". I laugh every time I see it.

Here's a few more:
Gemini Bridges Rd:

Bartlett Wash Rd. Long sandy rollers through this part

Spring Canyon Point Rd.

It took us 3 tries to get all the way out to Spring Canyon Point because 2 of the days we ran into afternoon thunderstorms and turned around. We didn't want to be out there with the lightning. I'll look for a photo from the point.

Its a long way down to the Green River. That's close enough to the edge for me!

We were having lunch in the shade, and I got a text from AkaRob about the CnR. Talk about the middle of nowhere:

A few more from the ride back:

Mrs Trip with the steady throttle just plowed right through the sandy spots....Me, not so much:

I have a Garmin 60cx but it was useless because I only have City Navigator. You need topo maps for out there. I just used the 2 Latitude 40* paper maps that cover the area.

Distracted Drivers

Going to work this morning Rt 146 through Providence, then Rt 195 east
There were at least two rear-ender accidents making a mess of things...

Rt 146 going into town was jammed and
Rt 195 East going into Providence was really backed up...

I am seeing a serious increase in these accidents on my daily commute...

Rhode Trip and MrsTrip ... BEAUTIFUL photos. It looks like some terrific riding. Can't wait to hear all the stories at the CNR.

The strolling jaywalkers are getting to be just as dangerous as the cars in RI
