Love reports from this section of a little traveled world. The pictures are just beautiful. See the camera is changed during the trip. Thanks to the work and time to share the journey.

Thank you all for your nice comments, I'm using a Fuji X100s keeping it in a small shoulder bag while I rode.

A master of the understatement with a name like Tourist.
I have about a 1000 questions I'd like to ask but instead will settle for your next post.

Tourist, здорово!

This is fantastic! I think, you may be crazy!!!

Few questions - you seem to take lots of pictures where the locals are posing in a big group, like a family portrait...Do you ask them to come together, are they less shy than if you were to point a camera at someone directly? Or it just happens like this?

And what type of camera do you use, is it SLR?

Finally, can you show on map where is the Jizev valley?

Welcome Bli55,

I'm pretty shy myself about taking photos of people, usually I only have taken a photo of someone or a group if there has been some kind of interaction between us, such as If I have spent the last 15mins hanging out talking to them, It kind of helps to tell the story. I also always ask before I take out my camera and 99% of the time people are really happy and obliging
I'm using a Fuji x100s, it's kind of like a hybrid, small but using a slr sized sensor.

Jizev is approximately 25km from Rushan. (From the Map "The Pamirs" excellent map btw)

Wow, amazing. I've always dreamed of seeing Central asia and the silk road. It's great to see these places most of us will never get to. Great pics too.
