Thanks for the outing EOD!

Ended up I never got much done afterwards. Went out to clear some trails on the ATV and got stuck. Then the winch (wench?) wouldn't work. After a hike or two back and forth with some frantic scrounging for stuff and transporting of chains and straps by foot, I took the just-purchased-yesterday new ATV with the Mrs. driving to get the first one out, but the wife drove it into a mud hole (well, she got to the worst part of the path and stopped--I just screamed go-go-go while I watched it sink into mud and sawgrass in slow motion).

Most of the rest of the day was looking for help and getting them out (and back). Our driveway looks like a bog monster fought a nasty, losing battle in the middle of it.

I should have just stayed and rode some more!

We only got one more lap in...The youngest did a fairly good cartwheel off of one of the bumps in the grass and we ended up leaving shortly after...

Ugh, hope nothing more than pride is hurt.

Did this happen at Eagle bay?

No atvs at EB. The trails are too narrow anyway.

This occurred near our property. I had the klr down there once. It wasn't a pleasant experience and had to be towed out. Way to muddy

The klr experience is one of the factors behind the ATV purchase

Just some videos of another area we have discovered. A nice river crossing along with an abandoned MX track of some sort.

Off Road riding in Madison this Sunday.

Hey man,

Been watching your videos, wondering if you are familiar with Blakey's Ridge in Madison County. It's a little closer to you than the GWNF, and it's an awesome ride.

I'd like to ride out there around noon on Sunday, anybody interested?

Done, waiting to be accepted into the closed group.

I'll be at the Wolftown Mercantile Store on rt. 230 in Madison at 1:00 PM tomorrow, planning to ride Ruth Mountain Fire Road over Blakey's Ridge with at least one other person.

The more the merrier.

J.R.

Anyone doing any of these trails in the next couple of weeks?? On weekdays?? I haven't had any real fun on my KLR in 6 months. The gravel roads up here just aren't cutting it

I'm sidelined. My bike needs the LED's wired in and the inspection expires this month (the LED's were going to count as the "brights"). I also found a loose connection wit the current headlight and I need to replace the tank with an IMS one since the sides were sheared off by a rock face (port) and a signpost / dirt (stbd) despite the HT crash bars [on the same ride]. Then I need to adjust the bars to fit over the bigger tank. Then, after I get the state inspection squared away after all that maybe I can go riding...
