Thanks for putting this together, and good quality too!

PDX Off-Pavement Ride

No problem. I'm taking requests, too, if anyone's got any other OHV parks that need PDF GPS-ification.

Also, if you try one of these out and it doesn't jibe well with reality, send me a GPX track of your ride and I'll try to get it a little more accurate.

Also, the two phone apps I know of, that can make use of georeferenced PDFs are Avenza (iPhone) and TerraGo (Android).

Wrong thread for this stuff so my last post on the subject, those PDF files converted over real nice to a Garmin custom map. A couple tricks to do it though, had to first convert to KML via Google Earth and then copy into the \custommaps folder on the GPS, for some reason Garmin doesn't support georeferenced PDFs.

Screenshot from my Montana showing southern section of the TSF OHV trail map in top half and City Navigator base map in bottom. Scaled and lined up real nice, so good job on creating the PDFs

Garmin's how to create GPS custom map from PDF link is here

Thanks.

the dualsportriding.com app is fantastic. You should check it out.

It is free on the PC and well worth the price for the app in my opinion.

No offiliation, just a happy user.

Anyone up for a ride on Saturday. I'm thinking meeting at Coleman's Shady Rest about 8:30. Eating country fried steak and gassing up at the Shell station and heading for the TSF about 9:30. Mostly just riding FS roads, maybe some two track.

Saturday Oct 19th Dual Sport Ride

Al, I'd be in for that. I could meet you at Colemans at 8:30 for some "fuel". Should be working on projects around the house, but that's what bad weather is for!

Anybody else?
