Meet and Greet Tuesday Oct. 22, 6pm

I put this up on the Okla BS thread and I thought I'd better put it up here too.

We're going to have a meet and greet on Tuesday October 22nd at 6pm at ET's Bar-B-Que. They have cold beer and ribs that you can "shake the bone" to get the meat to fall off. Super good eatin'

This place is on the northeast corner of Waterloo and Broadway between Guthrie and Edmond. From I-35 go west 3.5 miles to Broadway. ET's is on the north in the strip center. Look for the bikes out front.

Hopefully this will be far enough out for everyone to make plans.

Hope to be able to make it. We will be at AIM Expo in Orlando all of next week through Sunday but hope to be home that Tuesday. I might be a bit bleary eyed as we will be driving all night to get home.

I believe I will be heading out tomorrow morning around 9ish and heading more or less parallel to 35 south until I hit the trail itself and then heading towards Mt. Scott/Quartz Mountain. Im planning on camping out Saturday night. If anyone is interested in doing a little ride let me know and I will plan to meet somewhere.

A Stealth KLR! Under the radar and no sound.

I bet you can ride through the small "one light" towns at speed and go right past the Barney's running speed traps and they never even know you're there!

It may be stealthy, but it has the worst side stand design evar. I decided near the end of the day to just hop on the turnpike and head back to the city. As I am riding down the turnpike I noticed the right front fairing is kinda flapping a bit. I pull over to take a look at it, put the bike on the sidestand and start to walk around to look and the bike fall right the freak over I guess because of the slight angle of the side of the road. So I pick up the bike, reach down and pop the clip back in the grommet and rid on. The clip comes out almost immediately so I decide to stop at the toll plaza where its a little flatter. I get off there, shake the bike to make sure its not gonna fall, take a look and notice one of the fairing bolts had come out. I have some zip ties in my pannier and decide to grab that, pull the pannier off the bike without thinking, this upsets the balance of the bike and over it goes again. ARGGHHH! Pick the bike back up, change its position, zip tie the fairing and head back. Fortunately the pelican case caught the bike both times so the only real damage is a few chips on the case and a little scrape on the hand guard which is no big deal. Time for a new or modified kick stand I guess.

Yesterday evening, I saw someone cruising down I-40 outside Choctaw on an old Jawa(?) with side cases and a spare tire hanging off the back.

Laugh Jawa

I have never seen a Jawa before, so I went to google.
Not the prettiest of motorcycle designs but effective.
