This must be Sepang. What a let down for Redding.

Ugly, ugly crash.

Glad everyone is OK.

Tired of seeing Redding, the championship leader, fighting for 6th under "damage control." Not much of a leader. Horrible qualifying. Again.

Cruel turn of events for Redding. How unfortunate the championship is so deeply affected by back markers crashing.

Maybe Redding should also qualify better. And lately, except Silverstone, he has been just generally slower than Pol (and Rabat), so no wonder he keeps bleeding to them. Was outpaced by his team-mate Kallio today, too, not the first time this has happened either.

Redding..........and everyone else will just have to go hard from the start of the shortened race!!

Interesting to see if they give JLo a penalty for the aggressive pass on MM?

I thought the same thing. Would've been deserved, but that was only a smidge of what he got at Jerez.

I guess swimmer gets the cigar -- more or less a country mile for 26. Looked very frosty on parc ferme between the Repsol riders, with Marquez looking understandably joyous he's taken another firm step toward the championship.

Great battle between Marc and Jorge for the first half of the race.

Great and well deserved victory by Dani.

There was an interesting battle going on for 7th-11th and I was super disappointed to see Nicky's bike expire. I was hoping he was due for his best finish of the season.

Good battle between Alvaro and Cal, too. Even Gav Emmett's mile long list of excuses for Crutchlow weren't enough. The excuse making for the Brits is getting pathetic. It does the riders a disservice, IMHO.

For an F1 track, Malaysia isn't half bad.

*****

ALL the action was in Moto 3, BTW, not Moto 2.

Roll on PI!

At least Hayden didn't have to worry about getting malaria.

I had to laugh a little at the start of the race. There seemed to be a lot of hand wringing over grid positions and qualifying. But what was the order through turns 1 and 2?

Pernat gave an interesting personal note on Pedrosa: bad luck apart, when the pressure for the title is gone, he suddenly becomes the fastest of the pack. And that's not the best strategy to become MotoGP World Champion for sure...

A good step forward in Rossi's performance, a great match between the two title contenders, but also if I like the young MM my support goes to JL. There really is no easy way to get past him, and he is defending the crown with his teeth and nails, putting in all he has got in every race. Absolutely impressive.
