Compendium of USA Dual Sport Motorcycle Rental Companies

I always have this wild notion that I will throw caution to wind, and just book a long weekend somewhere. I started this spreadsheet a while ago, and thought others might find it useful.

You must be using Quick Style = 'ADVrider 2.0' or 'crash' to see the embeded spreadsheet. Don't know what this means? Click here

Direct link here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...=0&output=html

If you have other dual sport rental companies, post them up and I will endeavor to keep this updated periodically.

They rent DR-Z400S and a few more street-oriented bikes. I think the guy I met said that they were located in Nevada City, CA, which is 27 miles north of Auburn. I don't know why their web site doesn't list their location.

Kona, Hawaii. Renting KLR650, V-Strom, DR-650, DR-Z400.

Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii. You can get a V-Strom. Interesingly, their main web site classified bikes as Harley, Scooters, and Motorcycles.

This one, on Maui, looks like a (very expensive) motorcycle tour. But they have KTM and KLR650 bikes.

__________

It would help if the initial list noted the city as well as the state. I realize that it doesn't matter in states like Maryland or Rhode Island, but the rental place could easily be 500 miles away from where I am in California.

Updated the list with the CA and 3 HI lsitings. Also, if you can't see the embed, I've added the direct link in the first post.

The beauty of this configuration is that the first post should be updated as folks post information. The only reason you would need to "dig" through posts if you wanted specific comments about a vendor which have not been imported into the spreadsheet.

I thought I'd see how this takes off first. If it seems useful enough, I might entertain adding other fields on each vendor.

Awesome idea, we should have a section for advers who have used them to report how the experience was
