RAZR,
Posting up on the first page sounds great to me.
On the D37 page, when you register there is a picture where you see the letters and have to type them in to get access (keep robo spammers out) but that picture isn't working. It comes up as a broken link.

Wow, chemo sucks. I'll send a prayer for him.

i'll mention the sign up captcha dealio thing isn't working on D37.

yes, chemo sucks. Paul seems to be doing good. keep his recovery in all of your thoughts and prayers. he's a good hard worker (volunteer).

i'll add a list to PAGE 1.

EDIT: i just checked the D37 forum and signed up a fake account to see if i could get through.
there was no CAPCHA to go through.
try it again.

it wasn't my idea. he made it into a "business" trip so it worked. maybe a flight one way from Vegas to LA a week before is cheaper than a U-Haul.

I am planning on riding back again this year, but agree, the "drive and fly" sounds really good.

the hard route isnt really that hard to someone on a 525/530/500 EXC that's an experienced enduro rider. it's just longer and has a few spots here or there.

don't do all the hard routes if you get behind. just remember you are racing the sun. the sunrise is 6:59AM and the sunset is 4:30PM on November 29.

you'll have a blast!!
Thanks Razr! Looking forward to it.

Also, I'll need to hook up with someone as my riding partner will be away t-day weekend.

Since we are heading back to the other coast we are driving from Palmdale to Vegas on Thanksgiving and leaving the truck there. We are renting a car to come back to Palmdale. Can we just leave the truck at The Orleans for Thursday and Friday nights without any worries?

Talk to the manager at the front desk and let him know what you want to do and make sure it is OK, otherwise you might end up getting towed.

My son is an admin on the D37 site and I sent him an email to see if he can help you.

yes. you are fine to leave your vehicle near the northwest side of the parking lot near where we are finishing the event.
just talk with the front desk and the security staff.
my buddy that did the Fly and Ride left his truck there for a week with no problem. the parking lot is lit up and has plenty of security.

PM each other on details of who's riding with who.

i apologize if i don't get to it right away but i will try to stay on top of it.

I was the drive-n-fly guy

Drove to Vegas the Thurs before the ride, parked at the Orleans, walked through the casino to the lobby, hailed a cab, flew to Phoenix for business that weekend, either flew back to LA or did a one-way car rental.

Did this twice and didn't ask permission, etc either time, no problems.

Eudurocross in Vegas on the 23rd.

Good opportunity to drive two trucks to Vegas, watch the race, leave a truck there and drive back to LA.

This year I plan to ride back on Sunday.

One year I drove to Vegas real early Thursday morn left my truck in the parking lot. flew into Burbank ride partner picked me up we ate t-day dinner with the family. 2nd truck to Palmdale all worked well.

This year we are having the wives drive the truck to Vegas on Friday afternoon and after the extra rooms and shows this will cost almost double just a little FYI
