On that basis I'd say wrapping pipes should be avoided if possible.
That was exactly my concern ...

Ride this Thursday (24th)
Meet at the Gundaroo shop a bit before 8:30 ...
We'll head to Taralga via Swallowtail Pass - and note that Taralga CRT now has premium fuel!
We'll top up there and get an early feed, then do a loop through some of the trails north of Taralga (heading off Range FT) ...
Back to Taralga, then home via gravel if time / fuel are OK - otherwise the road more travelled to Goulburn ...
Let me know if keen ...

EDIT: I see there's a fire up north of Taralga - we'll keep an eye on that, and go in a different direction if it's still an issue

For anyone thinking about fuel:
It will be about 180km to Taralga from Gundaroo (via Swallowtail Pass) - you'll need to add your transit leg to Gundaroo to that.
Premium is now available at the CRT Rural shop in Taralga.
The loop north of Taralga will be about 140km - hopefully we'll be back in Taralga before CRT's closing time, but shouldn't bank on that.
The return gravel route is then 110km to Gunning - fuel at Gunning only during working hours.

Only 4mm in the gauge @ moment, more coming out to the north-west though
Hope they're getting some on the firegrounds down Bargo / up Lithgow?
Cheers

Last orders ...

Should be a good day - not a breath of wind - don't believe the BoM - pathological liars one-and-all ...

We've got four starters (I think), but if anyone else would like to join they'd be very welcome ...

Suitable all bikes - even Kwakas ...

Meet up at the Gundaroo PO/shop a bit before 8:30am ...

The WR250R does damn well for a 250 ...

It was quite windy - just when you think it's safe to ignore the BoM, they turn around and tell the truth ...

We didn't go with Plan A in the end - flat tyre slowed things down a bit, made all the worse for the many cooks destroying the broth - managed to pinch the first replaced tube (I think that was probably my contribution), but fortunately had a second - and three portable compressors - and lots of conflicting ideas about how to get the valve stem through its hole with a stiff walled front tyre ...

Anyway, got back on the road eventually and made it to Taralga for lunch - decided not to go on further north, as it would have been a bit late by the time we got back - headed into a bracing 40-knot headwind and gradually made our way home ...

I went to the Vinduro at Cookardinia to spectate and catch up with a few people. Slabbed it there, if you can call a perfect run on the S10 over the top slabbing, and explored some forest between the Hume and Tumba on the way home before another enjoyable run over the Elliot Way and SMH. The S10 is getting better every time I ride it

The Thunder had appeal for me Baz, but the process of organising house for sale shit gets in the way at the moment.

My old shed is finally clear, after 14 years of being full of crap (not all mine, either). Jeez, I'd buy my house now that it's all tizzied up and stuff.

Cleaning light fittings ATM, just had the pest inspectors and buiding report folks in, things are on the go here.

But I am seriously looking forward to the Trout Rally, I could use a weekend away from domestic shit. I will ring ADPete and see if he's back from holidays and wants to come along. Another mate is already lined up to attend. Here's hoping your Yammy just needs fresh oil and a cuddle.
