How did the ride on the trail go? I would have love to go but raked leaves and put the RV away for the winter.

It was fun, came home with a very dirty bike and a reshaped shifter and I owe some one about 1/2 a bushel of corn, but ya it was a good ride

Ya! Heard a rumor that those DR's combine corn almost as well as a
John Deere.

It was quite a sight. Todd was in front of me and before I know it he disappears into a cornfield. I was hoping the trail continued past Blenheim but it appeared to fizzle out.

Excellent ride and I would definitely make the trip again.

Hee Hee, ya dont cross the slippery center ridge at the wrong time....throttle was not my friend oops. I bet it was neat to see from behind as it was pretty farout from behind the bars.

Too bad it dosent go futher, but that was a pretty good run we had, definatly would do it again.

Cheers, Todd

Smooth showed up with a nice clean DR as well, lotsa pudddles and slippery stuff, but nice ride for a rail line, much beter than I imagined.

Lets meet in the middle sometime guys and we will find something worth riding.

I,ll just blither on a bit here as Im in the garage drinking, but sperpaPat sould chime in with his experince as he did qiute well on his first outing with street tires through the very slick rain soaked clay that was the first part of the run...I just dont think he bought the"that was the hard part, it gets better from here" bit

It did a bit Pat, it just wasnt as constant slippery shit as the first bit, good job mate!

Cheers, Todd

I managed to snap a couple of shots after you returned my bag.

Here's one of them.

I still haven't got around to cleaning it yet.

Name the place. Essex county has some similar small sections then what we rode on Sunday but its nothing to write home about and you'll never get into 4th on the "trails".

As mentioned, the ride was fantastic. I'm in for any repeat for sure! But it was muddy! I think we hit a bunch of red clay. It had hardened like pottery against my header. Took forever to get it off.

It was great to met Todd and all the others. And Smoothdurban and I had a nice ride up #3, although yes, a wee bit cold at first. But after the first leg of the trail stuff, I was peeling off layers.

Hey Todd! Thanks for saying I did well... I guess I didn't completely know what to expect when I got into this! The mud was a bit of a shock at first because I was expecting more a "beaten" path. My Pirelli MT90's got full of mud reaal quick and I had practically no control. It got a lot better once we got out of the mud and I was able to enjoy myself. My main concern was always having the front end wash out under me going through those big puddles (lakes?!) of water, so I was slowing down quite a bit.

I got way more comfortable as we went along and actually the last bit before I took off had me going in 3rd and 4th in some places.

I felt bad for Brian who was nice enough to ride behind me while I was figuring out my shit. That said, I knew my body was going to hate me for doing this so I wasn't sure I could carry out the remainder of the trail. I'd definitely like to give it a shot again one day. It was way more fun than I anticipated, I enjoyed the challenge. I'm glad I decided to show up, I almost didn't!

I've been seriously eyeing a Versys lately, but now it would make me miss having the Sherpa and getting the chance to hit a trail once in a while.

I think it took me longer to clean my bike than I took to get it dirty!
...and I'm still not happy with how clean I got it

Great video. You must have seen lots of off road trails from up that high..

Congrats on being a member of a select group.

One that I'll never join.
