Do you have any close up photos of the Harvey Mtn Lookout?

Here you go TwilightZone. I was trying to avoid taking a picture with the big ugly white plastic water tank in it. It kind of ruins the vibe. I also try to find the USGS plaque at each one.

Bolivar Lookoout - Callahan California.

If you are ever riding thorough Callahan (Hwy 3 Calif)...
turn west at the south end of the 'commercial' block and
head up to the Boivar lookout.

It's an easy ride... (unless there is snow on the road).

Bolivar Lookout.

Views...

Toward Mt Shasta

Looking north to Scott Valley and the town of Callahan.

Another view...

Telephoto view down into the town of Callahan... you come up through the town. Follow the lookout signs. Neat ride and awesome views.

Scott Mountain Lookout

This lookout is off the Scott River Road, California.
(Scott River road runs from Ft Jones to Hwy 96 Siead Valley)

Lookout was built in the 1950's. Abandoned now and starting
to fall apart. Again it's a very easy ride.

Inside the lookout... the living quarters (lower) and the bed.

Looking up at the lookout... stairs were rotted and most of deck was rotted too.

Looking down from the lookout... Scott River and the Scott River Lodge.

Survey Marker in the Footings...

Though falling apart (unoccupied one's always do), it's still neat to find these, with a nice view too boot!

Arid Peak Lookout between Wallace and Avery, Idaho. The skinny on the lookout is, "Arid Peak Lookout is a 1934 20' L-4, originally built to watch for fires from the Milwaukee Railroad as it came down Loop Creek from the Montana line to the North Fork of the St. Joe River near Avery, Idaho. In 1969 the legs of the tower were replaced, but the lookout was not used again. In 1996 and 1997, the Idaho Chapter of the FFLA and the St. Joe Ranger District joined in a restoration project; all of the beams atop the legs and underneath the cab were replaced, as were the stairs which had collapsed in 1970. The fully-restored lookout is now on the rental program, as it sits overlooking a companion project, "The Route of the Hiawatha", a rail-trail being developed over the trestles and through the tunnels of the abandoned Milwaukee line. The tower is on the National Historic Lookout Register." (copied from http://www.firelookout.com/id/arid.html):

No one was around, but it was obviously rented for the night.

Rich Mtn. Tower on TN/NC border.

View from top

Inside gutted out, none of the firetowers around here are being used.
Graffiti everywhere, whoever drew this one has some talent.
