Looks like a great bike ... It's about time the US got away from cruisers as their domestic product.
Some dealerships are already signed up to carry EBR. Last I heard, we had a Honda shop here that is signed up to become a dealer.

Would that be Dryer? I bought an EBR shirt at their booth at Moto GP this year but couldn't get an answer as to why they were selling them.

That would be sweet and probably cost me some cash to deal my Strom for an AX

Yup. When I talked to Craig R. from EBR at the Dealer Expo this year, he said Dreyer South is going to be an EBR dealer.

I hope George Latus Picks up Buell again so we can add them to the HD stores he has. Latus was one of the Top 5 dealers of Buell and Stegmann had several performance mods for the Race Teams. Latus even had their own exhaust system for the Buells that sold faster than they could have them made.

Article up at Cycle News with some interesting details.

http://www.cyclenews.com/392/22484/Racing-Article/ First-Look--2014-EBR-1190RX.aspx

BTW- apparently the "ET" in the ET-V2 designation for the engine does stand for East Troy.

Got to the show early yesterday and parked the Uly in the free parking bike lot. The EBR guys were just unloading the bikes from the truck so this was the first unveiling for me. I was very impressed with the bike overall. Quality components all around. In house engine build, some parts sourced from Germany and Austria. According to the guys the AX will be unveiled late spring. I noticed the key was in the bike so I asked jokingly if they were doing demo rides . The answer was no but he did start it up for me. Sounded pretty sweet, and If I can figure how to upload the sound file from my phone I will. The guys from Hero were there as well with a few of their bikes but i didn't get any shots of those. I went in and got more shots inside but most are what's already been posted earlier here. I did get to handle a sample wheel a(easily lifted with one hand and my bad one at that) and part of the magnesium subframe; pretty awesome how light they were.

This upcoming "Rotax Ulysses" could be a real home run for EBR, bigger numbers than the MS1200, without the servicing costs.

Great post Sharkguy !

+1 to that. BTW- according to EBR, it's not a "Rotax" any more; it's an ET-V2, and the ET stands for "East Troy" because that's where it's assembled.

(BTW- Buell has actually been closed 4 years, not 3 as stated in the article.)

But how related is it to the old Buell Rotax's? Is EBR just importing parts from Ausria & Quebec?

From what I gathered from the conversation I had with one of the reps is; the motors are being built in house with some parts sourced from Austria and some from Germany. Which parts I don't know. I'm assuming the motors are being assembled in East Troy from EBRs speced sourced "parts" and not just off the line rotax parts. That's what I took away from it anyway.

Personally, I'm excited as all hell, if this bike get's good reviews and sells--AND if he does good in WSB--It means there's FINALLY going to be a US bike that's not a cruiser---also---I personally can't wait to see what kind of naked he makes in the future..

Oh c'mon...even Ducati never had to resort to the politics required to manufacture their own race series...

Y'know I am getting evile image flashes...you home alone...a little candle light...you fire up that scrap from three years ago...a box of Kleenex and some genuine Wisconsin cheese...
