Injector removal

Hi, does anyone know if there is a specific procedure to remove one injector from the 990's TB? These are fitted into the center of the TB's and not acessible without tearing down the TB's.

Been looking at the service manual but does not show anything.

These may be headed to a clean job.

No

But I need to get into mine after 40,000 mi.
and clean them out.

These look similar to the 690 injectors, which I own , so I've had a lot of
time dicking around with fuel pumps and clogged injectors.

I've had good luck with soaking the injectors in cleaner and blowing
them out ( from the downstream side ) with a bicycle pump ( push bike
mates ) .

I always replace the O rings and found that the injector cleaner I used
caused the o rings to swell, thus replacing the O rings.

Twist it, Max

Thanks

The 990's TB's disposition makes necessary to tear apart the complete unit making it into 2 separate pieces...
