End Of An Era -- No More Fish & Chips In Killarney

Sob.

Yup, the red & white chip bus is gone for good after 30yrs.
They are building a new processing plant at the location, but the Mr. Perch fish & chip retail outlet has moved to Sudbury for a year round business instead of just tourist season.

Pics from better times.

The fish & chips were the BEST!! The place will be missed. But that was ten years ago.

They proboably have changed. I know I have.

Sorry to see a bit of a landmark gone. But realistically, the ride in was boring as hell and the fish was only 'meh' and EXTREMELY expensive. I used to do it at least once a year, but skipped it for the last couple.

The outlet in Sudbury is 'meh' as well.

If you want good fish, not whitefish, but pickeral, goto to the chipstand on Nipissing St in Sturgeon Falls. Or even Brunets truckstop just outside of Warren on a Friday (food is great there!).

Went to the place in Killarney last year well just because everyone said it was the best. After eating there they were..... well.....ok.... The road in off of 69/400 was a long way in. Pulling the 5th wheel made even that more interesting. I don't think I will miss it.
