I hope you guys keep this discussion public so that maybe a couple more of us could see if we can jump in!

No - get a Garmin - those cell phone GPSs are for finding grocery stores.

And not any Garmin - one made for off road use.

I'd like to do some off road near Tucson. Any assist would be great. Same to you when you come to Montana....
Maybe we can plan on the RG this Thursday. It will give us a legitimate excuse not to answer the door and hand out candy.

Skip, Cathy, Allyn, Russ... any of you guys available?

Will you guys have your bikes running again for this weekend? I should have my parts tomorrow and will be off work Th, Fr and Sat.

Puke Red Garter?

So where are these meetings usually held? I am looking for some more places to ride and these meetings sound like a good place to learn about them.

I usually ride around Sierra Vista and Sonoita. I have found a decent route from HWY 82 up to I-10 that can be fun. It's a road (kind of) with lots of rocks, whoops, a couple creek crossings, small hills, and power lines/ gas lines. It is more of a high speed run that is about 60 miles or so. There is also a fire road on the back of Ft. Huachuca that is pretty good, but only about 20 miles. These are the only two places I discovered that weren't restricited by gates, or fences, or grumpy land owners. I know there is the border roads, but those don't really spark my interest.

Cathy's getting back Thursday evening and I should be available. She can meet us there.

I found a seat in the garage to replace the one broken and switched the bolt in the new brake lever back to the original way we were trying to get it in and it works again. Front brakes are back.

Have you ever seen someone break a seat pan? That thing is trashed.

Also bought new handle bars at Spark's yesterday to replace the ones I broke and should have them back on tonight. Oh yea, did I tell you I went down pretty hard a few times?

So that and get the plastics back on and I should be ready to roll.

Boy was that a lot of damage for a relaxing afternoon B loop, but should be fixed soon.

See you Thursday evening, we can tell more stories about being lost and in the fetal position. Skip

The Red Garter on the first and third Thursdays at 6:30ish. Sometimes other Thursdays, like tomorrow and sometimes Wednesday for the more senile of us older folks.

Northeast of Speedway and Country Club.

They've got good bar food.

Skip,

Sounds good. If Cathy's going to be home over the weekend are you guys going to ride at all?

2 questions

Anyone ride with their kids? I have my 13 yo son out riding his drz125, but was thinking he'd have more fun if some other kids were out too. I'm trying to get him to pick up the pace a little but its like riding with a little old man in the lead. Haha.

Question 2. Are there any bike junk yards here? I need some stuff for my old RD.
