Nope. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Really, I have trouble keeping it on the road.

After you get to Westcliffe (a lovely town with a few good shops, restaurants, and bars), take 69 North (really runs north-west) towards 50. From the intersection of 69 and 50, you have a choice: west towards Salida, or east to Canon City. Either way is cool, because 50 follows the Arkansas River as it makes its way out of the Rockies. Plenty of twisties and sweepers. And both towns are stunning.
I discovered CO-69 and CO-96 sort of by accident in 2009. Leaving Salida, heading East, just decided to take 69 South after fueling at Cotopaxi and seeing the 69 highway sign at Texas Creek.

Great ride!

North Georgia - South TN and a little North Carolina.

Start in Dahlonega GA taking old 60 north all the TN line where it becomes 68 then to Tellico Plains.

Be sure to gas up in Tellico Plains (as there is a whole lot of nothing on the Skyway) and the Tellicafe has good food and other Motorcycle clientele.

The go East on the Cherohala Skyway 165 changing to 143 at the NC border all the way to US 129.

Go north on 129 to Deals Gap NC - Tail of the Dragon - ride up and back

(my personal advice for The Dragon is don't go any Holiday or Sunny weekend, it's a zoo
with packs of slow moving Harleys blocking the road with the Old Lady on the back showing her tits to Kill Boy at 20 MPH pissing off the crazy crotch rocket guys doing 80 MPH wheelies or the worst, old geezers in the BMW,Porsche,Corvette Car Clubs driving badly -- this also attracts both TN and NC State Tropers who are no fun - that said it's an awesome ride just not with 10,000 of your closest friends.

Once back to the NC side take 28 - Moonshiners 28 East then right on 143 and south on 129 throught Murphy NC and Blairsville GA back to Dehlonega.

This is the pavement route there is also a gravel road that crosses and mostly parrallels the Skyway and if you are feeling really lucky the Dirt Dragon back in the woods near Tatham Gap Rd is a lovely place to get really lost except don't go in Deer Hunting season.

This whole area is awesome - scenic 360 - the part of 28 Skipped here is good too.

Ohio!

Zanesville to Marietta to Athens and back is great. All the roads in that area are fun to ride but this route takes you along the Ohio and Muskingum rivers. The roads are scenic, curvy and (mostly) well maintained. Hocking county is another great place.

Big Muskie. This roadside attraction isn't on that particular route but close enough to make a detour.
