Charlie,

I have not ridden over it for quite some time but cotrip.org is not showing anything going on. I do know that they have been working on it all summer long and do not know the current situation.

I heard one report on 10/14 that the paving is done but they still have striping to do. Watch for snow on the sides and possible sand.

I was up there about 3-4 weeks ago and there was still some minor paving operations going on, one spot with a flagman, etc. As mentioned watch out for ice and sand, but otherwise enjoy the super smooth new asphalt!

The road sign at 74 and Squaw Pass Rd for Mt Evans says "closed".

But that is just to go up to Mt. Evans, not the Squaw Pass road itself.

Squaw pass is open year round ( maybe not motorcycle open ) But it is Subaru open all the time, they also added a bicycle lane and a new layer of asphalt.

It was pretty washboard on the east side this summer. Had a detour though a neighborhood (that was nice and twisty also).

I will try to get up there tomorrow to pre-ride the loop for my fellow Rider Coaches.

If your a RC and want to join us, please do. Rider Coaches only. PM me for details.

What? No RS in the pics? Rider must be a scraggler.

We ended up riding a loop from Winter Park to Fair Play and back. Those big inch Harley's can haul.

I'm glad you got to hang out for a little bit.
