07 DR650 CDI to wiring harness couplers advice...
What was intended to be the last ride of the year, has morphed into an electrical snafu just before winter arrives, damn...
While multimeter testing for a lack of spark at the plugs, my inserting paper clips into the larger of the two CDI connections, appears to have made matters worse.
The larger female wiring harness connector, 8 wire capable with 6 utilized, has suffered damage from insertion of the paper clips (should have used generic sewing pins instead...), and I now have to identify the type of connector, how to dissemble it and where to source the minuscule spring clips, to ensure a good connection with the CDI units male prongs.
One of our inmates in Japan (EasternBeaver.com), supplies oem electrical accessories and individual hardware etc., but I'd thought I'd throw out this thread, to see if can source what I need locally here in NA.
Any Japanese electrical component gurus out there, got any advice on this aggravating self inflicted dilemma, with winter arriving shortly and an unheated garage to boot.
