2014 KTM 690 Enduro R - News, Rumors?

Have decided my next bike will be a KTM 690, only haven't heard anything on the 14's. I'm new here and apologize if this topic has been brought up before. Have an opportunity at a new 13, and wonder if I should pull the trigger or wait for the 14? Is KTM committed to this bike going forward or is it going to get pulled on the US market?

I doubt it'll be pulled, and I doubt there'll be any changes between '13 and '14. I'd get the 13 if the price is right.

A few notable changes

From the 690 mega thread:

Overall, the bike looked same as previous, but closer inspection noted the following:
1,ABS added front & rear
2.Twin-plug 690 Duke motor fitted.
3.Lower fork changed to allow fitment of ABS sensor.
4.New electronic throttle from Duke 690, and new throttle/front brake cluster.
5.Frame looked the same, apart from repositioned rear brake reservoir, and coil removed to as 690 Duke motor has twin-plug head, with inboard coils.
6.Forks changed to left leg compression damping, right leg rebound damping.
7.New airbox, with repositioned sensors.
8.New ECU, only 1 fitted now.
All in all a nice little package, available February/March 2014.Price as 2013.

I think its a shame that they are using more and more electronics,
how do you do a trail side repair on a "Fly by wire" throttle ...........plug it into your iphone???

I love ADV, but finding specific info on the 690 buried in the 1000+ page mega thread is frustrating. Take a look at 690EnduroForum

It's just getting off the ground, but the more people contribute, the better it will become.
