Usually those nice specimens are referred to as forest rats.

Yep, they tend to have a good size.

Of course, nothing compared to this sight, which you could possibly face in Norway:

I like the desert digital camo. Saw a 1200 in Lukenbach wrapped in digital camo and it looked great.

Desert camo

What a coincidence, I just finished to-day reassembling my bike after the "fall of trailer" incident.
I have repainted it desert camo.
Since the weather here in Canada is horrible these days it might take sometimes before I can upload a picture- but I like the way it came out.

Cheers

Ari

Had it since new. I've had the Touratech/Excel SM wheels + road tyres (mostly Michelin PR2s) on it continuously for the last 5-ish years. But there is now a 990SMR to keep it company in the garage, so the original wheels will probably go back on soon. Most comfortable bike I've ever owned.

My thoughts went in the direction of deer at first, but a quick google search only revealed pics and links to actual rats and mice so I wasn't sure if he was talking about a larger rodent, sized more like a beaver.

Yeah, we have a lot of moose over here. And they're hard to spot especially in the fall when it's very dark from september untill snow covers the ground around new years (down here in the south east corner). About 1850 moose are killed by road going vehicles each year. (And another 35.000 during the annual fall hunt). You don't want to run into one of those on your bike.... I've had a few scares, but never anything really dangerous.

If anyone comes to Norway and rides beware of wildlife. South of the middle (of Norway) you'll be on the lookout for sheep and cattle in some places. Up north there are reindeer everywhere.
