I think you are being a little harsh. Radan has contributed often and on varied subjects. It's a long thread and Radan's contributions certainly precede your own. Maybe you should re-read it.

I for one would not have known about the foot pegs if it wasn't posted here. They were cheaper than the alloy PW200 pegs that I broke the day before. You can read about back there somewhere.

Yes I have a set of Radan's pegs. They are very nice.

The tank has the original re shrouds and also the black plastic pieces that help direct air to the engine. I was using this tank up until 4 or 5 years ago when I got an oversized tank. I put oil in the tank and swished around to coat it and prevent rust. Not perfect condition on the outside, but I would say excellent.

I've seen junk tanks on ebay for around $100 that are not in usable condition, so I'm thinking of a starting bid of around $200.

This will likely go on ebay soon. All proceeds will be re-invested in the motorcycle industry

As soon as you let one person get away with blatant pimping of their own goods everyone else thinks its time for them to go too.

Brand new Clarke 4 gal tanks are $200 as well. Choose your own measuring stick.

Hi, great forum, just been going though this thread ...

I was hoping someone may be able to help me out with the mounting brackets for a 1990 XT600e acerbis tank.

Anybody have a pair they can part with, or know where I can still get them?

look like this ...

thanks

What's it off of? You'll need a short mid-pipe. Otherwise looks close.

thanks for the replies guys, no luck from just-gas-tanks or acerbis.usa, looking like I may have to try something myself, but its going to be a power-drill, hand-file and hacksaw effort (never very pretty)

My XT600E is currently undergoing an open-heart surgery.
New cylinder, piston rings and such.

Also the cylinder head and valves are being overhauled and readjusted.

Question:

My XT is sporting a Wiseco high compression piston, K&N air filter and a stainless steel exhaust system of a wider diameter plus a Leovince muffler.

Can anyone tell me what needs to be adjusted to the carburators in order to get the right fuel/air mixture? Currently it's stock.. which is also the reason the engine needs some TLC right now The previous owner failed to have it set up right after installing the new parts..
